Revealing content in sequence as the visitor scrolls works well for process explanations and portfolio pieces. Native CSS scroll-driven animations now do this without heavy JavaScript, which removes the old performance objection.

Bento grids

Modular tile layouts that let you present several ideas at once without a wall of text. They adapt neatly to mobile, which is where most layout trends fail.

Bold, oversized typography

One strong headline beats a hero slider with four competing messages. Type is also effectively free in performance terms, unlike imagery.

Real photography over illustration

Excellent for premium and creative brands. Poor for anything requiring dense information or a form-heavy flow, unless the contrast work is done properly.

Whatever style you choose, respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting, keep contrast ratios accessible, and never let an animation delay content from appearing. A design that looks current but takes four seconds to become useful has failed at the only job that matters.
